Moments in time are over in an instant. I wonder how many of these special times do we miss because of our hectic schedules? As I type this I am sitting in an airport. Talk about time flying by.
Right now there is a lady at the counter of Delta extremely upset. She wants to get to Orlando and she “ain’t playing!”. I wanna go hug her and say that it’s gonna be ok. Trust me when I say that Orlando will be there when you get there. Enjoy each moment. Seriously it may be your last moment.
I witnessed one of those moments today. It was a moment where I looked into my Dad’s eyes and I saw that he was proud. I saw a look that he didn’t even know he was giving but he did.
Also, I got to chat with my Mom. Even though she is crazy I love that crazy. That’s a special moment. Much like the time we were able to dance before her surgery.
Today I also got to see my sister happy. I can’t tell you how that feels. It’s amazing to see people happy and succeeding by capturing these moments. For your resiliency, sis, I am moved.
I am not sure about you but I refuse to miss moments again. I want to soak up this life. I may not have many more of those moments. Why look back? You are not going that way!
I believe though that life needs fuel. Some of us have loved ones that fuel us or possibly a hobby that fuels us. Personally, I am fueled by those moments. I am fueled by the anticipation of those moments. I have one coming very quickly!
One day I’ll be able to sit down with my very own grandson, share with him my failures, and encourage him to never give up.
I believe the anticipation of Heaven will help us all keep going as well. Let the anticipation of eternal life keep our fire burning but let the joy of these moments in life keep our fire glowing.
