Recently, I was at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola Florida with my 4 year old son.
As we were walking around we came upon this Japanese Plane. I was explaining to him they were the enemy and he took this picture.

He said that he thought I go to Japan (Based in Yokota Japan currently) for military duty. Why if they are the enemy?
I went on to explain that they are no longer the enemy and are very nice people.
One of those things that are hard to explain.
On August 6th and 9th, 1945 the United States dropped two atomic bombs on the Japanese mainland killing 150,000+ and thankfully bringing the end of WWII.
July of 2023 I stood in the exact spot onboard the USS Missouri where the Japanese signed their surrender. Amazing history.
