Represent

How do you represent yourself? That’s a good question. A better question would be how do others see you? There is usually a huge difference between the way you think you are reflecting and how people are actually receiving you.

I am on a plane as I type this and I am listening to a lady behind me. She has been very bossy and demanding of others around her. I just looked over my shoulder and she is absolutely what I pictured. She looks upset and mad at the world. As I listened she said to her neighbor “SIR, CUT THE AIR OFF ME!”. Fairly rudely if I must say then she said “thank you!”. Well I didn’t give that much credence because how she has been talking before.

Maybe she is having a bad day. Maybe something horrible has just happened to her. I’ll give her that but at the same time I don’t want to be that way. I like consistent people. I like to know what I’m getting when I see them.

I once had a boss that you knew how the day was gonna go by the way he sounded walking up the stairwell. That can’t be good.

The Bible tells us to renew our minds. To be prepared to be kind and show the love of Christ through our actions. That is every day. Everyday we need renewed.

Romans 12:2 states that we should not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

I’m not saying she doesn’t know Christ but merely being kind and good to others helps us be transformed in our minds… daily.

I appreciate you all. Be nice to someone today!
